California Mounted Officers Association

A memorial service will be held for our friend and dedicated El Monte Mounted Volunteer Janis McFarland who passed away suddenly on November 14th. Janis’ family resides in Washington but the service will be here in Southern California where so many of her friends and co-workers are. Janis was a court reporter for Los Angeles County and a member of the Los Angeles County Mounted Assistance Unit as well as being an active supporter of the American Cancer Society. Hers was truly a life of public service.

Donations are being requested for the City of Hope National Cancer Institute, Duarte, CA

Janis beautiful horse, Big Al, will be travelling to Washington to live with Corrine.
